Tech786: BSNL free SIM offer- The state-run telecom company BSNL has once again started the free SIM card offer. As part of the offer, the company is offering free SIM cards to its new customers, for which a fee of Rs 20 is usually charged. However, the condition of the company is that the customer has to take a first recharge coupon (FRC) of at least 100 rupees while taking a SIM.
The company has resumed this offer in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. The company says that this offer will be valid from 8 January to 16 January 2021. However, let us know that in other circles this offer is running till 31 January 2021. Actually, BSNL started the free SIM offer last year, to motivate customers to recharge at least Rs 100.
What is FRC?
FRC is called first recharge coupon. Whenever the customer gets a new SIM from a company, the customer has to first recharge at that time. It is called FRC. The price of FRC varies from company to company. Under the free sim offer of BSNL also, you will have to recharge at least Rs 100. Through this offer, the company is trying to woo more and more customers.
Increased validity of these prepaid plans
BSNL has launched Republic Day 2021 offer. Under this, the validity of the plan of Rs 1999 and Rs 2399 has been increased by 21 days and 72 days respectively. Now the plan for Rs 1999 will get 386 days validity and Rs 2399 plan will get 437 days validity. It is to be noted that this is a limited time offer, which started from January 10 and will continue till January 31.
