Jio made big announcement, now will meet Hotstar + Disney Free

Telecom operator Reliance JIO has introduced a new bundle offer, which includes a Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription for a year.

While Telco had offered Hotstar premium subscriptions in the past, however, this would be the first time Jio customers would be able to get an annual Disney + Hotstart VIP membership for a price of Rs 399 a year.

This subscription will allow users to access the Disney + Content Library, which includes shows, movies and kids content as well as exclusive content for Hotstar which includes cricket shows, premium leagues and Formula 1.

However, a catch as of Telco has not yet been revealed whether the scheme will be limited to specific plans, nor has it provided any details about the launch date. So far, the teaser banner mentions “coming soon”.

Whereas last month, Airtel launched a prepaid plan of Rs 401 for a year with a Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription. The Airtel plan also includes 3GB of high-speed data and Airtel also offers a validity of 28 days.

Jio is taking the same approach as Airtel by providing the same membership benefits to its users. Although Jio had offered Hotstar Premium membership in the past, its Jio Fiber users recently received Disney + Hotstar Premium membership through JioTV + service.
