So far, Ford’s Indian arms have a total of six cars in its line-up, including Figo, Freestyle, Aspire, EcoSport, Endeavor and Mustang. However, none of these cars are the best-sellers in their respective locations, which suggests that Ford needs to work on improving its line-up.

In November 2020, Ford was able to sell only 3,991 cars in the Indian market, ranking 10th in the total brand sales list for the month, and with a market share of only 1.4 percent. However, Ford has many new plans for India, including launching 6 cars in the country next year. See list below.

1:- New C-SUV

As a part of the joint venture between Mahindra and Ford, a series of SUVs will be developed for the Indian market, the first result of which will be a new Ford C-SUV that will debut in the middle of next year.

Codenamed CX757, the Ford C-SUV will share its underpinning with the upcoming generation XUV500, which is to be launched next year. Ford had also previously confirmed that the new C-segment SUV will be designed by Mahin-owned Italian high-end car design company Pininfarina.

2:- Focus

The Focus sits atop the Fiesta in Ford’s global lineup, and the car is currently in its fourth-generation avatar. The hatchback is offered with a range of different powertrains, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost unit that produces 125 PS of power, a mild-hybrid version of the same powertrain, a 1.5-liter EcoBlue oil burner. Rated for 120 PS / 300 Nm. Also a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which generates 150 PS maximum power and a peak torque of 370 Nm.

Focus’s range-topping variant is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch TFT infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, 10-speaker Bang & Olufson premium audio system, LED headlights and tail lamps, dual-zone climate Control comes with many features including Fordpass connectivity.

3:- Ford Figo

Since its launch in 2015, Figo has not received any substantial updates. That being said, the hatchback now feels older than some other rivals, which is why its sales numbers are also declining.

However, Ford has confirmed that a new version of the Figo will be launched by the end of 2021. It is likely that it will have Mahindra’s mStallion 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine to power the next-generation Figo, which was introduced at the 2020 Auto Expo. This engine will debut in the country with the XUV300 Sportz. We expect Ford to tune it to produce around 110 PS on the hatch.

4:- Ranger Raptor

The Ford Ranger is basically the pickup version of the Everest SUV, also known as the Endeavor, and the Ranger Raptor is the high-performance version of this pick-up truck, optimized for high-speed off-road driving is. The Ranger Raptor is equipped with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that gives a maximum power of 213 PS with a maximum peak torque of 500 Nm.

The engine comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox like the BS6 Endeavor. Four wheel drive system is standard on pickup trucks. The price of Ranger Raptor in India can be around 65-70 lakh rupees.

5:- Next-Generation EcoSport

Despite being in the country for 8 years, the Ford EcoSport is selling in its first-generation avatar. But when the Ford EcoSport was one of the first sub-4 meter SUVs in the Indian market, different manufacturers introduced their models, making this segment the most competitive segment in the country.

To beat the competition, Ford is working on introducing a new-generation EcoSport that will be equipped with a 1.2-liter mStallion TGDi turbo-petrol engine similar to the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz. This engine will produce 130 PS maximum power with 230 PS maximum torque.

6:- Focus ST

Since Ford decided to discontinue the Super Sporty RS version of the Focus hatchback due to pan-European emission standards and higher development costs, the ST version becomes the most sporty Focus. Unlike the regular focus, the performance-rated ST is powered by 19-inch magnetite wheels, unique ST front and rear bumper, specialized ST upper and lower grille, fully styling kit, a larger rear spoiler, badging around the ST, electronic limited slip differential and A unique sports suspension has been added.

However, the biggest change is its 2.3-liter Ecoboost powertrain, which produces 280 PS of power with 420 PM maximum peak torque, and can get a 6-speed manual transmission or optional 7-speed automatic option. The hot hatchback reaches 0 to 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds with the manual while the auto reaches 0 to 100 kmph in 6.0 seconds.
