OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6 Get New OxygenOS Android 11 Based Update – Tech786


Tech786: OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 phones are now receiving OxygenOS 10.3.6 update. This new update is being released in a phased manner, and only a few users will receive it initially. The update includes the September 2020 Android security patch and also improves system stability. Changel suggests that the update for OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 will also fix common bugs. Both these phones are confirmed to receive Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 software updates.

The company posted on its forums to announce the rollout of the new OxygenOS 10.3.6 update for OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6. The OTA rollout is being staged, meaning that it will hit a limited number of users today and the rollout will begin in a few days after a comprehensive ensuring that there are no significant bugs. OnePlus noted against using a VPN to download this build as the rollout is not based on regions and is excluded for a limited number of devices.

How to Check for New Update 

If the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 users have not received any notification, they can check for the update manually in Settings> System> System Update. OnePlus is also asking for feedback through the community app if users find a significant bug that they need to report.

As a changelog, the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 update brings the Android security patch of September 2020. The update improves system stability and fixes common bugs. Apart from this, there is no mention of changelog.

As mentioned, these two phones are set to receive Android 11 and the OnePlus 8 was the first phone to start receiving stable updates recently, and it was called OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7 Pro Like it will be rolled out for old phones too.
