The Ford EcoSport is one of the oldest sub-four meter SUVs in the country. However, the SUV has not received any generational update yet. EcoSport is now outdated compared to its competitors due to increased competition in the segment.
The company is now working on its facelift, which may be launched soon. It is expected that the facelift model will get many new features including a sport front bumper with large grille and 360 degree camera including re-style headlamps.
3: Tata HBX
The company showcased its concept SUV at last year’s Auto Expo 2020, codenamed HBX. Its production ready model has been seen many times during testing in India. The C3 will be based on the company’s CMP platform and will come with the company’s own 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Puretech petrol engine. 1: Renault Kiger
Nissan has entered the sub-four meter SUV segment with Magnite, and Nissan’s sister brand Renault is also almost ready to launch the Kiger. Like Magnite, the Kiger will also be based on the CMF-A + modular platform, which can get a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, just like the Magnite.
The main highlights of Kiger will be its price. The company claims that the Kiger, like Magnite, will be significantly cheaper than its competitor. Reports are claiming that features not found in Magnite can be found in the Kiger, such as electric sunroofs.
