The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has directed telecom companies to submit detailed information about the concessional plans offered to customers or plans issued for specific categories.
The TRAI directive came within a few weeks of the Supreme Court’s order to telecom companies in this regard. TRAI in its directive has asked telecom companies to provide this information within 15 days. They will have to give information about different plans for all service circles from January 2020 to November 2020 on monthly basis.
Plan terms to be mentioned first
Under this, telecom companies will have to provide the terms and conditions related to the plan, details of rates, the name of the tariff plan, its duration and every information. Apart from this, TRAI has also asked companies to give the number of existing customers of each plan. They have to give the last date of every month based on the remaining customers.
Jio adds maximum customers in MP-Chhattisgarh
According to TRAI’s report for the month of September 2020, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh has added the maximum number of mobile subscribers in all circles across the country. Reliance Jio holds the first position in MP-Chhatt circle.
According to the report, in September, the number of mobile subscribers of Jio increased from 7.53 crores to 7.57 crores. In this way, 4.71 lakh new mobile subscribers are added in the state. It is the highest among all circles.
