Tech786: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released a voice quality report in December. In the report, Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has given best voice quality to its customers, beating Jio and Airtel. Operators gave their company an average of 4.9 voice quality ratings in December. TRAI has updated this data on its MyCall portal.
Idea 97.59% and Vodafone 87.68% satisfactory rating
According to TRAI data, Idea received an average of 4.9 indoor and outdoor call quality ratings on a scale of one to five in December. The operator received a satisfactory rating of 97.59% in December. In November, Idea received an average voice quality rating of 4.9 with an average indoor and outdoor call quality rating of 4.9 and 4.8.
Vodafone retained its second position in December. Vodafone has received an average of 4.3 voice quality rating. Vodafone received an 87.68% satisfactory rating in December. At the same time, indoor call quality ratings will get 4.4 and 3.6 average outdoor call quality ratings. In the last month, Vodafone received an average voice quality rating of 4.6.
Jio’s rating improves, BSNL slips
Reliance Jio, which became the country’s largest telecom company, received an average voice quality rating of 3.9 in December. The operator received a 3.8 rating in the previous month. According to TRAI data, Reliance Jio recorded 77.81% satisfactory rating in December.
On the other hand, BSNL received an average 3.9 voice quality rating in December. Last month it was 4.1. The operator recorded an average indoor call quality rating of 3.8 and an outdoor call quality rating of 4.3 in December. BSNL has got 76.58% Satisfactory rating in the month.
Airtel Voice Quality Report
Airtel’s voice quality rating also declined in December. According to TRAI data, the operator recorded a rating of 3.1 in December. It was 3.8 in November. This second largest wireless operator in India recorded a satisfactory rating of 59.46% in the month, compared to 75.21% in November.
